WebSHPEP is a full-time commitment with pre-planned days of curriculum, activities and rotations. Students’ full participation is required during the course of the program dates. Should summer courses be offered following the program, the student is free to enroll and attend, but during the program that may not be an option. WebNov 1, 2024 · All students who meet the Summer Health Professions Education Program eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. Applicants must meet the following requirements: Must be a high school graduate and currently enrolled as a freshman or sophomore in college. Applicants should have earned no more than 60 credits. WebSHPEP’s goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students underrepresented in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools. SHPEP is implemented at 12 program sites across the nation.
