Last week I had the shop do a tranny filter and then complete fluid exchange as well as replace the transfer case fluid. The previous ATF looked good they said, but the transfer case fluid looked nasty. Now both are filled with Redline D4 ATF.

You in fact do have a transfer case. 06-08 models had the case and needs regular 80-90w fluid. 03-05 models don't have the transfer case, the tranny fluid takes care of the lubrication of the diff for these models. The differential fluid level is to be checked but not changed for normal duty, for severe duty it says to change every 20,000 miles.
